Building a community that knows and reflects the love of Christ. Drawing all to the love and service of Christ.

"In a world where risk and suffering are everybody's problem, the needs of our neighbours are the needs of the whole human family. Let's respond just as we do when our immediate family is in need or trouble. We may be amazed by the difference we can make."
Archbishop of Canterbury, 2010 New Year message

More about Us

Contemp3
We are a church community with plenty of activities to interest all ages, intent on our two-fold vision:

“Building a community which knows and reflects the love of Christ. Drawing all to the love and service of Christ”

We are located in Busbridge on the edge of Godalming in Surrey, with a variety of congregations that meet in our small but beautiful church, and the hall of our local Busbridge Junior School.

We connect with each other through belonging to
Congregations and a variety of smaller Groups for adults and for Youth & Children. We are part of the Church of England, but enjoy worshipping, sharing, and working ecumenically with all Christians and churches in the area and beyond.

This means that we care not only about our local
Community but about Fairtrade – we are a Fairtrade Church, committed to using Fairtrade products in our services and events, Ecology – with an ongoing plan to reduce our carbon footprint and conserve resources at church and at home, and our Mission Partners at home and abroad who we support financially and through our prayers .

Further information is available on what we believe, how we care for each other and our
church history.

Since 1997 we’ve been a United Benefice with the neighbouring parish of St Peter’s, Hambledon. Our Rector is responsible for both parishes, and our Associate Minister works half-time in each. If you want to know more about
St Peter’s Church you'll find us on the Hambledon Village Website.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.'
