The Alpha Course
Over 8 million people have now attended an Alpha course, an opportunity to explore the meaning of life, running in tens of thousands of churches of all denominations across the world. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over about ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, and a day away. It is low-key, friendly and fun – and is supported by all the main Christian denominations.
In Busbridge we regularly run Alpha courses together with our sister church in Hambledon, and working ecumenically with other churches in the area. Our next course will start in September 2009. Parenting Courses
Parenting courses are offered on a fairly regular basis. The nationally acclaimed resource used is published by The Family Caring Trust and is called” Practical Parenting”. The programmes run for 6-8 weeks and are usually held in a home in the Busbridge area. Courses are facilitated by parents who wish to support others in their parenting role.
Three different programmes are available and one will certainly be appropriate for the age of your child:
From Pram to Primary: for parents/carers of children under the age of 7years
The Fives to Fifteens: for parents/carers of Junior school aged children
What can the Parent of a Teenager Do? for parents/carers of teenagers.

Please ask to speak to our Younger Children and Families Worker. If a course is not being offered in Busbridge/Godalming area we will try to advise you where the next nearest one to you is being run in Surrey.

SHAPE Gifts Courses
SHAPE Gifts Courses – An important part of the Bible’s teaching is that every member of the church has something vital to contribute to its life and work. The SHAPE course provides a helpful way of discovering our God-given gifts so that we can use them to serve the church and community.
